Countdown to the
2010 THON Express

left until the event

Beth Denne

My name is Beth Wood Denne and I graduated from Penn State in 1998.  My husband and I live in Columbia, Maryland, and I work as a prenatal genetic counselor at Johns Hopkins Hospital.  During my freshman year at PSU, I was introduced to THON because it was held in a small gym in the White Building across the street from my dorm.  From the moment I set foot into that gym, I was addicted. I danced for 48 hours in 1996 and was a Reception & Family Relations Captain (R&FR was one committee back then) for THON in 1997 and 1998.  As an alum, I’ve watched THON grow out of the White Building, into Rec Hall, and in 2006 into the BJC!  I was thrilled to run on the first THON Express team in 2007 because I had found a way to combine two things that I’m very passionate about: THON and running.  I’m elated to be a part of the third annual THON Express and hope to continue to watch this event grow, increasing THON’s visibility, and most importantly raising money for The Four Diamonds Fund.  For the Glory and For the Kids – Run On and THON On!!
