Countdown to the
2010 THON Express

left until the event

My reasoning behind wanting to run in THON Express really begins at the final part of the THON I was privileged to be a part of. Looking around at the massive crowd composed of dancers, moralers, team captains, THON families, etc. made me realize how much THON meant to others and made me want to be part of this for the rest of my life.  I was upset at myself for not becoming part of this throughout my entire career as a Penn Stater and waiting until my Senior year to pursue it.  Though my career path in my post collegiate career has consumed the better part of my life and time, I have always wanted to give back to THON and then this opportunity presented itself and I was blown away by this program.  The opportunity to run and raise money for such a great organization while the dancers are giving so much is something that I can’t pass up.  Just the thought alone really sends chills down my back and puts a smile on my face.   Also as a side--note: the day after THON my older brother bought a new car and just take a guess at what the license plateletters were (I’ll give you two guesses but I bet you only need one)…FTK!!!!  Now if that isn’t a sign from somewhere that I should become a part of THON again, I don’t know what is.
