Thon Express

In 2003 I was the Overall Public Relations Chairperson.  I was a public relations captain in 2002 and a moraler in 2001.  I also raised funds with PRSSA in 2002 and 2003.  I ran in THON Express 2008. I want to run in THON Express 2009 because it combines two of my greatest passions, Four Diamonds and running.  Running in TE 2008 renewed my love for THON and was a wonderfully rewarding way to continue participating as a PSU alumnus.  I treasured making contact with Four Diamonds families again, and I was so grateful to have the opportunity to join their fight again in 2008.  Running on behalf of children during TE 2008, and connecting with other runners with the same passion, took running to a new level for me.  It’s not just a sport to me any more, it’s my way of fighting back against cancer.  Cancer has had a direct impact on my life since graduating from PSU, so THON feels even more important to me now.  My ability to run in THON Express symbolizes my determination to conquer the physical challenges that stand in my way and the power of THON and Four Diamonds to bring people together to reach incredible goals.
